From December 5 to 7, 2024, the III National Congress of Respiratory Medicine was held in Astana under the slogan: “Respiratory Medicine of Kazakhstan: A Course Toward Integration of Ideas and Collaboration.” The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the European Respiratory Society, highlighting its high status and international significance.
At the opening of the Congress, Abai Kabataevich Baigenzhin, Chairman of the Board of the National Scientific Medical Center and Executive Director of the Euro-Asian Respiratory Society, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of uniting efforts to advance respiratory medicine in Kazakhstan.
The Congress brought together leading specialists and scientists from Kazakhstan and abroad, providing a unique platform to exchange experiences and discuss modern approaches to diagnosing and treating respiratory diseases.
The program included:
• Thematic symposia, addressing strategic issues in medical development, high-flow oxygen therapy, treatment of COPD, bronchial asthma, and COVID-19.
• Scientific sessions and presentations, focusing on innovations in prevention and therapy for respiratory diseases.
