The multidisciplinary department provides highly specialized medical and diagnostic care to patients from all regions of Kazakhstan who are faced with pathologies of the bronchopulmonary system, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, diffuse connective tissue diseases, systemic vasculitis and endocrine disorders.
The specialists of the department carry out complex differential diagnostic studies, including assessment of immunological activity, metabolic disorders, ELISA, PCR diagnostics of various pathogens, morphological verification of the diagnosis with puncture biopsy of the liver, kidneys, musculoskeletal flap, synovial membrane and bone marrow.
Modern diagnostic methods are used to study the physiology of respiration, including the diffusion capacity of the lungs (spirometric tests, bodyplethysmography, blood gas composition), histomorphology of the respiratory organs and analysis of biochemical and immunological markers of inflammation. Instrumental methods are used, such as radiation and endovascular diagnostics, arthroscopy for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
The use of stem cells has also been introduced in the treatment of morpho-functional insufficiency of the liver (cirrhosis of the liver), kidneys (chronic renal failure), pancreas (diabetes mellitus), cartilage and bone tissue, as well as diffuse connective tissue diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic scleroderma).
