A masterclass was held in the Endoscopy Department with the participation of Professor Kirill Vyacheslavovich Shishin and department head Doszhan Kanadilovich Musabekov.
As part of the training, a low-profile gastrostomy was endoscopically placed with the participation of the endoscopy team, the ICU team from the Cardiology Unit, and the surgical block.
🔹 Endoscopic gastrostomy is a method of providing direct access to the stomach for long-term enteral nutrition.
Indications for gastrostomy placement:
- Stroke with impaired swallowing
- Traumatic brain injury
- Esophageal diseases with obstruction
- Oropharyngeal tumors
- Esophageal-tracheal fistula
Such training events contribute to the implementation of modern minimally invasive technologies into the clinical practice of the center and help enhance the quality of specialized medical care.
