Residency is the level of postgraduate medical education in clinical specialties. When studying in residency, a resident doctor acquires a number of advantages, will gain in-depth knowledge of the chosen profile and gaining experience in medical practice, which opens up wider opportunities for professional growth and development.
JSC "Scientific National Medical Center" has a license for educational activities of postgraduate education in residency and provides training for specialists in educational programs:
- 7R01136 "General Surgery" - 3 years of training
- 7R01126 "Urology and andrology for adults, children" - 3 years of study
- 7R01101"Adult and children's Cardiology" - 3 years of study
- 7R01118 "Adult and children's cardiac surgery" - 4 years of study
- 7R01117 "Anesthesiology and intensive care for adults, children". - 3 years of study
Persons who have completed their residency training and successfully passed the final certification are awarded the qualification of "doctor" in the relevant specialty of the residency.

Information for applicants to the NMC residency
Acceptance of documents
- The deadline for accepting documents is July 03-25
- The applicant chooses 1 basic educational program (OP)
Stage II – Combined entrance exam
- The entrance exam will be held on August 8-16
- The format of the entrance exam (total 100 points):
The average GPA score is 30% (in bachelor's degree (20%) and internship (10%) or GPA for all 7 years of study).
Assessment of the 1st stage of the final certification (independent testing conducted by the National Academy of Sciences-30%)
Interview in the main and alternative specialties - 40% (motivation to study, a question about the specialty, a situational task)
The threshold score is 75 out of a possible 100 points
Stage III - Competition for training under the state educational order
- The threshold score for participation in the competition for RB and MINE funds is 75 points
- Acceptance of documents for the competition at the expense of MY funds - until August 25
Stage IV- Enrollment
- until August 27th
List of documents for admission to the residency, 2023-2024 academic year:
- application addressed to the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NNMC (form attached);
- Bachelor's and internship graduation documents with copies of the appendix (transcript) (original, notarized copies);
- certificate of completion of the internship (original, notarized copy);
- a copy of the identity document;
- 6 photos measuring 3×4 centimeters;
- medical certificate of form 075-U;
- specialist certificate (copy), the result of the IGA assessment from the NCNE;
- diplomas, materials of scientific conferences, posters, certificates (copies, if available);
- a document confirming employment (availability of an employment contract, employment record, certificate) (copies if available);
- referral to work at the end of the internship;
- international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language (copy, if available);
- military ID or identification card (copy);
- personal personnel accounting sheet (fill in all the items and paste a photo);
- completed personal card of the applicant (form attached)
- A 20-sheet file folder.
