A strategic meeting was held at our Center with a delegation of the People’s Republic of China, resulting in the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The document provides for the implementation of joint projects, exchange of experience in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oncological diseases, as well as the organization of internships for specialists.
The delegation included the heads of Shandong Medical Oncology Center, Xinjiang Medical University and its affiliated oncology hospital, as well as representatives of specialized centers in head and neck tumors, radiation oncology, nuclear medicine, transplantation, biobanking, and the application of artificial intelligence in medicine.
Chairman of the Board of JSC “NSMC” Abai Baigenzhin emphasized that such meetings strengthen international cooperation and contribute to the introduction of modern approaches in oncology in Kazakhstan.
Yerzhan Shayakhmetov, Director of the “UMIT” International Oncological Tomotherapy Center, also noted that such events create new opportunities for sharing experience and jointly implementing important medical initiatives
