On August 15-16, 2024, a master class was held at the clinic of JSC National Scientific Medical Center in the Department of General and Thoracic Surgery with the participation of Diego Gonzalez Rivas, a leading thoracic surgeon at the University Hospital Complex La Coruna (CHUAC, Spain), a member of the American Association of Thoracic Surgery, head of the thoracic video surgery program at the Shanghai Clinic of Pulmonary Diseases (Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital) and the founder of the monoport VATS in the world.
As part of a master class conducted by Diego Gonzalez Rivas, a leading thoracic surgeon at the University Hospital of La Coruna (CHUAC, Spain), together with thoracic surgeons Dzharkeev Kairat Sarmanovich and Toleutaev Shyngys Mukhtarovich, operations were successfully performed.
The participants also immersed themselves in the world of advanced technologies and techniques of video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS), dedicated to the treatment of neoplasms of the lungs and mediastinum.
